Spine scares a kidSpine walks frustratedly along the path in the park. He had been sure that getting out of the house would be a way to alleviate the stress that Rabbit had been placing him under, but Rabbit’s insistence in coming along had rendered any possibility of peace impossible. With his fedora tipped low over his bright green eyes and steam venting frustratedly from his cheeks, he tries to ignore his older brother’s presence.
Rabbit had taken to throwing a ball at his back intermittently as they walked in an attempt to get him to ‘lighten up’. On the contrary Spine was becoming angrier and angrier with each ‘thump’
Powerless - Chapter 05The ambulance took Jack to the nearest hospital, which wasn't far from where the call had been made. The ride only lasted for a good 15 minutes. The paramedics did everything they could on the way. They never noticed that Jack's hair was now darker. The brown color was now about to reach the tip of his hair.
As soon as the ambulance made a stop in front of the hospital, it's back doors flung open and the two paramedics rushed inside with the stretcher. As soon as they entered the building, other doctors that were around went to them and helped them.
One of those doctors took a pair of scissors and made a cut from the bottom to the top of Ja
- RIP -I was never able to rest in peace. The earth isn’t so quiet as you might think, see; it’s full of hidden life, creatures with no legs, many legs, things that scurry and bury and squirm and churn. They find your flesh like bees to honey, and they never sleep, never settle, pulling you into their grotesque celebrations and never letting you leave. One would have to sleep like the dead to get a good night of rest there.
I could hear them in my head when I slept, insects tapping to each other, scratching in titbits of some secret code, etchings on the inside of my skull. Rude, intrusive beasts, they were. They flooded my ears and nose and mouth, filled every opening they could find, and still it wasn’t enough; their bites were painful as they tore away my skin, but I couldn’t do anything to sway them, my muscles stiff and bones locked. They filled my flesh and reduced the delicate architecture of my body to a festering, writhing mess; I was a crumbled palace, forgot
let's take a roadtripi'll make mixtapes we can lay down rubber in parking lots call out our joy and anger which are almost the same thing anyway i will cry at night but you will lick the salt like a wild deer pepper me with small bruises drive in our underwear just to feel skin sticking to something make contact with your hair as it billows in and out of the car in and out of sight make contact with the only part of your body that is not warm stop only in small towns that keep their stories close in those towns press silky moonlight to the warm parts of your body like poems like slits of light to let the light in through smoke and eat hanging out of the windows p
What Has to be DoneZee sat curled into the corner of the couch, lost in her thoughts again. It seemed like she -always- was, these days. If it wasn't her own self-conscious bashing her confidence and self-worth into even smaller pieces, it was the twisted memories leaving her feeling broken and empty. If it wasn't the memories, it was her worries, tearing her apart with guilt, fear and indecision.
She thought of Tillivan.. The fact he was still out there somewhere, waiting for the next time he could attempt to break her spirits down again. As if they could get any farther down.. She thought of Undertow, and the fact that he was after Cerzz, who had all but disappeared from her life.. Just like everyone always did.. She was tempted more than once to seek her 'sister' out at the Citadel.. But if Cerzz was avoiding coming to Sennon to see her, she wouldn't want to push that.. Cerzz had likely just realized what a mess Zee truly was, and decided she wanted out.. Zee couldn't blame her..
As always, Zee's thou
Serenade a Fine Lady - KotF“Scel. What are you doing.”
Neverthrive had seen a lot of things in this place. Weird things. But this was strange, even for the constant level of background strangeness that permeated the group like some sort of socially awkward radiation. This was…just bizarre.
Scelerata—inexplicably-appointed ‘leader’ of the fine group of misfits—had positioned herself in the tallest tree she could find on the compound grounds. Well…’position’ may be the wrong word. It implies a certain level of thought, premeditation, and purposefulness. ‘Stuffed’ might be a better word.
Shades of the Conquerori.
It began and ended with blood, as many lives do. He was born red twice over: red-faced from lack of air, as he bawled aloud without pause for breath, and red all down his body from his mother's birth-blood.
He began as any child does, with strawberry-stained fingers, and cherry juice dribbling darkly down his chin; but in time he grew to crave danger over sweetness. He loved roses for their thorns and redcurrants for their bite. He scorned the blandness of yew-berries, but found great pleasure in stripping the flesh from their seeds all the same, knowing it was death that passed so delicately between his teeth.
The sword was meant for h
The Forsaken ChildrenThe sudden scream had Caleb out of his seat and running in the direction it came from before he was fully aware of what he'd just done. The Archives mainframe was already crunching the data and reporting to him what was going on, but he already knew that whatever it was wasn't good.
Gabriel's signal had suddenly gone haywire.
Caleb burst into the common area, standing in the doorway as he quickly scanned the room to assess the situation.
Catherine looked up at him in a tearful panic from where she knelt on the floor. Nearby her were Ladawna and Neveah, both of whom were struggling to keep Gabriel still.
Gabriel was flat on his back on the
Talk of the Queen"I have no idea what possessed Albert to marry that hussy Talphenia," said Lady Hilda of Little Fold.
Lady Hilda and Dame Salvia were sipping mead in Hilda's castle while their husbands were out hunting in the forest. Lady Hilda was baroness and liege lady of Little Fold, the smallest, but also the proudest fold of Foldland.
"You know I visited Talphenia in her castle at Copper Fold once," continued Hilda. "She made me take off my shoes and walk about in my hose just to keep her precious carpets clean!"
"Yes, Aunt Hilda. She did the same thing when we Dawn Guard wives were invited to the royal castle. Still, we were impressed with the beau
.: She Lived :. She lived in a world where thoughts floated like paper, tossed carelessly into an arcing, ochre sky; where air currents brought her whispered news of times past, of the present, of things to come, and things never to be. She could read lowered eyes, and drumming fingers, clenched toes and curved lips, pounding rain and drifting snow, hail and lightning and sunbeams. I never had to say anything outright, she always felt it.
Or maybe she was told.
I dismissed it as modesty; I thought the Earth spoke to no one.
She’d gaze out at the waves of our hometown and frown – they were churning, her stomach was too, she was expecting the
50 Sentences - Equestria Edition1. Journey
It couldn't be helped when the travel bug bit and both Caleb and Gabriel left their home to walk the world and absorb knowledge and music respectively.

Shining Armor had to admit that Caleb on his own was a formidable Guardian Angel, and Gabriel even more so when he was guarding his brother as he slept in the shade of the Mana Tree.
Rarity could see how much effort Gab
50 Sentences Challenge1. Wall
If ever one loses track of him, just remember that Gabriel has a strange fondness for perching on or strolling along the tops of walls.

They work well together; one designs the cities and buildings while the other tears them down when flawed or corrupted.

Showmanship"Bravo! Bravo I say!"
"Again! Again, that was amazing!"
The loud applause beat about the room from the standing, cheering audience as the dancer-jester twirled around in a half-bow-half-dance motion which dizzied his watchers slightly.
Roses and other, more exotic blooms were tossed to him and he gave a sweet laugh from behind his gilded, gaudy full-face masque, at once quiet and loud enough to carry over the raucous cheering. Deftly, he caught each and every flower as it fell, gathering them into two massive bouquets, one in each hand. After the last flower was caught, he stepped slowly back about ten pa

BlackoutThe shop was silent when I abruptly burst in, arms curled around the four books. I called out to my family; there was no response. With a sigh, I set the books down onto the counter, and reached out with my mind. It wasn't particularly hard - not with the practice on the vehicles in town - but it was certainly strange. It was like feeling, a non-physical hand that could either touch individual objects or flatten into a blanket to cover everything. Naturally, the most prominent 'feeling' was that of metal: cans, shelves, screws, even the coins in the cash register. By my waist, I sensed the multitude of coins hidden in my wooden box - with my
